June 2013 Schedule

Team Sacramento has a full practice schedule in June as we prepare players for the upcoming Junior Olympics and USJA/USJF Junior Nationals. All practice times will remain on schedule with the exception of Saturday June 29 when there will be no practice. During that week several team members will be traveling to Dallas to compete in the Junior Olympics. Please make sure to attend practice so that we can get our competitors ready for the upcoming events.

2013 California State Championship Results

Team Sacramento competed at the 2013 California State Championships on May 4 & 5 in San Francisco. The team had a challenging and successful weekend winning 17 matches while losing 22. Twelve of the wins were by ippon. Many of our competitors were moved up from the novice division to the championship division due to a lack of competitors. All players fought hard and showed the spirit of KONJO. Special congratulations to Ethan and Camren Fonseca for competing in their first judo tournament. Overall the team brought home four gold, two silver, and one bronze medal.  Congratulations to the entire team. Here are the individual results:
